Heavy Duty Picnic Table Plans
We call it our Range Furniture. Deron built two very heavy duty Shooting Benches and one very heavy Picnic Table for our Shooting Range Area. It might sound strange to some of you, but seriously, Target Shooting is/can be a social event, and you can make it a fun one. Not everyone has land where they can just step out and shoot, but there are Shooting Ranges near almost everyone. Why not ask another couple or a few friends to meet at the Range, shoot some rounds then go out to eat after? If however you drink alcohol, do it after the last gun is unloaded and put away for the day. Deron and I are very fortunate to own land. Deron built a couple of super sturdy Shooting Tables and a really nice big heavy duty deluxe Picnic Table, as well as a Stand/Cabinet for the skeet thrower for our Shooting area out here on the Range where the deer and the antelope play. We have friends out on Friday night or Saturday for Shooting, a Meal and Board Games. It is a lot of fun. And believe me when I tell you we could start a list of folks that want an invitation out here!
When friends come out we often shoot Bows, Sling Shots, Crossbow Pistols, Blow Guns, Throw Knives and I am sure one day, one of us is going to bring a bucket of rocks to throw just for fun. So you need a place to set all your items and a place to sit after for a meal.
JUST REMEMBER. WHEN IN THE SHOOTING RANGE IT IS ALL ABOUT THE SHOOTING AND GUNS. NO CELL PHONES, NO GOSSIP, NO ALCOHOL, NO PRANKS, IT IS ALL ABOUT WHAT IS HAPPENING RIGHT THERE RIGHT THEN. HAVE A GOOD TIME AND KEEP IT SAFE!
PICNIC TABLE CONSTRUCTION
INFORMATION AND PLANS COMING SOON ON HOW DERON BUILT THIS HEAVY DUTY PICNIC TABLE USING PRESSURE TREATED WOOD
This heavy weight, stable and well made table is made with 2" x 6" hand picked pressure treated lumber. The large bolts that hold this table together are recessed and when people sit on one side and not the other, this table will not move or flip. This Picnic Table is very large and stable and meant to have lots of room to store rifles while shooting and lots of good food for the shooters after the event is over and the guns are put away. Deron made the Picnic Table in the photos in one day, and as you can see, it was not a nice warm sunny day either. We shoot in all weather, so with company coming out to shoot, he built this Picnic Table in the cold so that we would have more room to set rifles safely and a place to set other items. We did eat indoors the day this Picnic Table was built.
