I Am A Glock Girl
You have seen the T-Shirts, the Hats, the license plates, well, my Pink Glock Girl Slide Rear Piece.....
I did not know it. I did not set out for it. But you know what? I AM a Glock Girl. Deron and I bought Glock Guns and since the first, WE LOVE THEM. I was worried about the guns not having safeties on them. I have grown used to it now. I do not keep a cartridge in the chamber when I carry anyway, so this is one less step for me, if needed, and at competition.
I had never shot a Glock Gun but friends of ours, repetitive Gun People, were bragging on them all the time. I was skeptical, but when I shot a friend's of ours Glock 9 mil, I have to say it was nice. After being told how few parts a Glock has and how durable they are, how accurate, well, when Deron and I found a GREAT DEAL on Glock Model 22's, we bought. Both of us really like those Model 22's. I carry mine.
This is a note I just sent to some friends on Jan. 19, 2013 after shooting my first Glock 10 mil. I had read in the Glock Book that a 10 mil is a bigger bang than a 45 cal. I really like 45 cals. When I told Deron, Deron who so badly would love to own a 50 cal rifle, he agreed we needed to find a Glock 10 mil.
"John Said It, just a few weeks ago: "I think I created a Monster." (Glock influence!) He, like Larry and Cathy, loves Glocks.
It is true. I AM A GLOCK GIRL. I AM!
We took the 10 mm out to our Range and guess what? We both hit the targets (water bottles and water jugs and Bowling Pin) EVERY TIME. NO MISSES. NOT ONE MISS!
And you know what else? WOW! That is an easy gun to shoot. I was so surprised at the low recoil for the Big BANG Hit! I mean it BLASTED the water bottles and I pushed the Bowling Pin baaaaack and down (oh, yeah, my Bowling Pin Gun....well, If I can arm wrestler Deron for it on that day. <smiles>)
I am also wearing the push the button Glock Holster with one of my Model 22's within.......LOVE IT. I am going to be so much faster drawing this year.
We took some photos. Deron has them on the camera. When they come through, I will send them on!"
This is a photo of what Deron bought me for my Birthday. Some gals like shoes, some like purses, some like jewelry. Me? I LOVE guns and target shooting. It is like Golf, only way more fun!
I like Colored Guns. While not my usual PINK, I really like this Dark Earth Color. When you shoot a Colored Gun and set it down around other shooters or at the Shooting Range, you don't have to worry so much about someone picking up your Colored Gun, by mistake, or maybe not, and saying they "thought it was my/their gun." Plus, I have always like Different. I like colors, I like loud horses (that is Paints and Pintos and those with Loud Color).
I LOVE German Shepherd Dogs. I have had several in my life and at the present and thinking about getting another. I like my GSDs to have Dark Rich Color, like this gun. Rich Dark Copper or Brown with Black. So when it came to choosing a Rear Slide for this gun, It took my about 2 minutes to decide on a GSD. Rear Slide Plats really set off a Glock and again, you know which one is yours when it is laying there and you can see that rear slide.
I have much more to say here, and will add it later. But I will tell you that a Glock is a good gun for about anyone I know. If you want to learn more. If you want to learn a lot more. Ask a "Glock Person" and or buy the book, "The Gun Digest Book of the Glock". I have the 2nd Edition and am learning more every time I pick it up and read a little.
It is true. I am a GLOCK GIRL. And will need some Pink Paint on at least one of my Glocks very soon.
SERIOUSLY, IT YOU WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT A GUN THAT IS EASY TO USE, HAS FEW PARTS, A VERY "TOUGH OUTER SHELL", AND COMES IN MANY SIZES AND CALIBERS, READ THE BOOK, "The Gun Digest Book of the Glock", I COULD NOT COVER ALL THAT IS IN IT, OR COVER IT AS WELL.
